Signal flow
Follow the signal from the Level 7 (L7) switch rack all the way down to the dome camera inside the lift car. This is an offline CCTV network — not connected to the internet.

Mains power required near the PoE switch location on the car top. The switch powers the camera and P2P RX via PoE — no separate power needed at those devices.
Glossary
L7 = Level 7 — the floor where the main CCTV switch rack is located
L7-3-C07 = port label on the CCTV patch panel at Level 7
P2P = point-to-point wireless bridge (replaces physical cable on moving lift car)
TX = transmitter (fixed at shaft ceiling) · RX = receiver (moves with lift car)
PoE = Power over Ethernet — sends power + data on one cable
Cat6 = Category 6 network cable (carries data, and power when used with PoE)
CCTV VLAN = isolated network for cameras only — not connected to the internet
